Orrkid's Double Fudge Swirl
(Ch. Orrkid's Handful of Stars ex Ch. Orrkid's String of Pearls)
07/08/92 - 11/09/98
Dolly was a litter sister to Beau, the two in our oops litter.
She was a very plain dark brindle bitch. I decided to call her Dolly because when I looked at her little dark face, all I could think of was Louis Armstrong singing Hello Dolly.
I used to sing that song to her and she would make noises and try to sing with me. I could lay her on her back in my hand when she was small or in the crook of my arm and sing to her and she was perfectly content (even though I can't carry a tune in a bushel basket).
I placed Dolly in a very special home - the same people who owned Casey. She was shown in 4-H along with Casey.
Dolly was the light in her new mother's eye and I received many interesting letters from Dolly.
They also sang Hello Dolly to her. Dolly had a mass removed that proved to be lymphoma and went to the bridge on November 9, 1998, far to soon for such a bundle of joy.
