C.J.

Marburl's Oracle of Orrkid
(Ch. Moss Wood's BJ Sugar Krisp ex Ch. Baldr's Superchic, DOM)
2/16/86 - 10/12/93

We co-owned C.J. with Mary Frances & Rufus
Burleson - she lived with us. At about four months of age, she broke a bone in
her front right foot. She was in a cast for 6 weeks during an important
growing time. After the cast came off, we gradually increased her exercise
so that she could gain strength back. We did try showing her some but it
seemed that she didn't really recover from the break.

C.J. and her mom (Q.T.) running at Lake 11 -
one of the exercises we tried to improve her strength.

We decided that she was not show potential
and would just be our couch potato. Most often she could be found curled
up with her mom or our son.

We bred C.J. to Ch. Barisle's Special
Premium which produced a litter of six on July 8, 1987 - three flashy fawn
bitches, one flashy brindle bitch, one plain fawn bitch and a flashy fawn dog.

The three flashy fawn bitches went on to
become champions. We kept one out of this litter - Dot. One of the
bitches (Chamisa) was owned by Mary Frances and Rufus Burleson and won the
futurity in 1988.

Chamisa - Grand Prize Futurity Winner - 1988

Chamisa, Dot & Dinah - 1988 ABC
We had friends who were ready for another
boxer in their lives. We decided to let them have C.J. in September of
1987 - she went to live with Brian & Sandy Weinman who had two younger children.
She loved being with them. I co-owned C.J. with Sandy.
We bred C.J. again in late 1990 to Ch.
Wesan's Shenandoah - litter was whelped on February 15, 1991 - one flashy fawn
bitch, one flashy brindle bitch, one flashy fawn dog and one plain brindle dog.
We kept the flashy fawn bitch - Beebee.

C.J. lived out the rest of her life with
the Weinmans eventually succumbing to skin cancer. |
