Casey

Orrkid's Casanova
(Ch. Wesan's Nordic Prince ex Ch. Orrkid's Cherry Bomb)
02/11/90 - 04/08/00

Casey was a puppy from Dot's one and only litter. He was the spitting image of his mother and had the same show
temperment. The first time I put a leash on him, he gaited down the sidewalk and stacked himself.
Unfortunately, he was a monorchid so he could not be shown in conformation.
I was very fortunate to find a wonderful home that wanted a boxer for 4-H and junior showmanship
- Michael Backes.
Casey & Michael have won purple and trophy in both showmanship and obedience at the 4-H State Fair several years.
Michael has won a couple of Best Junior Handler honors with Casey.
Dolly (Orrkid's Double Fudge Swirl) lived
with Casey so she is in a most of the following pictures.

Casey & Michael Backes won 5 showmanship
trophies at the 4-H State Fair.
Casey began to have seizures - presumably a brain tumor. He held up well with
medication but finally was unable to stand to eat.
Casey lived a life that we would want for every boxer to live. He was very loved, well cared for and was the light of Michael's eye. Casey was of much help to Michael when he lost his brother at a young age. Casey and Michael were a team and it was truly apparent in their 4-H work. Casey
is missed very much by Michael and all the rest of us who knew and loved him.
